What to Expect During Your First Visit for Sewell Chiropractic Care

If you are new to chiropractic care or visiting Eulo Chiropractic Center for the first time, it’s natural to be wondering what to expect, how best to prepare for a treatment session, and whether chiropractic care is the right choice for your wellness needs. Scheduling a diagnostic appointment with our chiropractor is an important first step to taking control of your health and choosing to live a pain-free, active life. Our goal is to help alleviate your pain symptoms while supporting your body’s natural recovery process. This information will help you better understand what to expect during your first visit, including the different stages of chiropractic care.

Pain-Free Living Starts with Turnersville NJ Chiropractic Care

From the moment you enter our wellness center, our friendly and welcoming care team will help you feel at ease, whether you are coming from the Washington Township area or surrounding communities of Sewell, Turnersville, Williamstown, Blackwood, and Glassboro. Our chiropractor, Dr. Eulo, will begin your first appointment with a discussion of your medical history and current pain problems/health concerns. Every new patient receives a comprehensive diagnostic exam, which allows us to precisely identify the location of spinal subluxations. These misalignments could be affecting your health and triggering pain. Depending on the initial findings of our hands-on examination, Dr. Eulo may recommend X-rays for more in-depth analysis. Based on these findings, Dr. Eulo will discuss your different treatment options, the cost for these options/insurance coverage, and how chiropractic care can best support your body’s natural recovery process after injury.

Chiropractic treatment generally follows a three-stage approach: relief care, corrective care, and wellness care. If you are suffering from chronic or acute pain, you deserve immediate pain relief. This is our goal during the “relief stage”. During this phase of treatment, our primary objective is to relieve your pain symptoms by treating the underlying trigger. For many patients, a spinal misalignment is the primary trigger for their pain. Chiropractic adjustments help to bring proper alignment back to the spine, alleviating nerve compression and relieving pain.

The second phase is the “corrective stage.” During this stage, we may integrate complementary therapies, such as corrective exercises and physiotherapy, to help injured soft tissues more fully heal. Our goal during this part of treatment is to support the body’s natural healing process and reduce the formation of scar tissue, which can lead to long-term pain and mobility restrictions.

The final phase of treatment is the “wellness stage”. Upon reaching this stage, your body is fully healed from the original injury and any residual pain is being managed through conservative, drug-free treatments like chiropractic adjustments. Our goal during the wellness phase is to enhance your overall health by reducing the risk for future injury and pain. For some of our patients, this may include nutritional counseling and weight loss support. For other patients, this may include corrective exercises and physiotherapy to support a fitness training program. Our chiropractor will work with you to create a plan that meets your unique health goals.
