Natural Treatment for Cluster Headaches and Migraine Headache Symptoms

migraine headache treatment in Sewell.jpgMost people suffer from tension headaches at some point in life. Migraine headache symptoms strike 30 million Americans annually. Tension headaches bring “tight” pain to the sides, top and front of the head. Migraines often warn their victims with a visual “aura” before the throbbing, intense pain sets in, often devolving into nausea.

A cluster headache can attack in the night, one to two hours after going to bed. These types of headaches are rarer and come in “clusters” where one stabbing attack lasts anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours and then recurs at precise intervals over days, weeks or months. Drug-based migraine headache treatment protocols cover up the pain, sometimes unsuccessfully, but without solving the underlying problems. Many of our patients, however, report great success with chiropractic migraine headache treatment options.

What Is Causing Your Tension Headaches?

Headache triggers vary by different factors and environments. Tension headaches often follow stressful events. Migraine headache symptoms are often triggered by certain foods (aged cheeses, meats, wine, chemicals in processed foods, etc.), stress and disruptions in normal sleep patterns. While cluster headaches seem to be connected to circadian rhythms; more people report them when the seasons change.

If you suffer from tension, cluster or migraine headache symptoms and cannot find lasting relief, Dr. Eulo can help with natural migraine headache treatment. Correcting posture often reduces the severity and frequency of headaches. Usually, realigning vertebrae, particularly in the neck, can relieve pressure on nerves and blood vessels responsible for controlling circulation and sensations in the head and face. Correcting the underlying cause of the headache is an important factor to relieve pain on a long-term basis.

Massage therapy also helps by relieving stress and releasing endorphins into the body. Along with massage therapy and chiropractic adjustments, nutritional counseling helps people learn about and avoid things in their diet than may be triggering headaches. These treatments have been enormously successful for many of our patients.
